Information and materials about Campagna Crowdfunding for journalists, bloggers and project creators telling the story of their campaign. Free to use when writing about the platform.

What it is

You have the idea. Leave the rest to Campagna Crowdfunding.

We analyse it, find the right audience and build with you the strategy, all the copy, the rewards and the images. Then we get it known: we send emails to your contacts and post on social media. You keep the final say and everything you raise, as it reaches your account, even if you don't hit your goal. And your campaign can run for up to a year.

How it works

  1. You describe the project. A few lines: what you want to do, for whom, why now.
  2. Campagna Crowdfunding writes the first draft. Your page starts out already written: the story, the problem, the solution, who is behind it, the rewards, the FAQ. It is not the final text: it is the starting point that takes the blank page away.
  3. You change whatever you want. Every block can be edited, before publication and after. The final words are yours: the campaign carries your face, not ours.
  4. You decide the rewards. What you give, of which kind, and when you deliver it. If something has to be shipped, we ask backers for their addresses as soon as they pay and hand them to you once the campaign closes: you do not have to chase anyone.
  5. A person reads the campaign before it goes live. No campaign publishes itself. It is a real reading, not a rubber stamp, and it protects you too: what you publish carries your name.
  6. You go live. The page becomes public and shareable, and every reward has its own link you can send to whoever you like.

Take it all. What you raise is yours even if you do not reach your goal: if you set €20,000 and raise €7,000, those €7,000 are yours. So are the rewards you promised to the people who gave them to you.

What it costs. €59 once, to activate the campaign. It is not a subscription: you pay it once per campaign. 12% of what you raise, including support without a reward. Card processing fees are paid by whoever runs the campaign and come on top of the 12%. No monthly cost and no hidden percentage.

What problem it solves

Want to run a crowdfunding campaign? First comes strategy, target, buyer personas. Then the images. Then professionally edited copy. Then guessing all the right rewards, the storytelling, finding and paying an autoresponder for the email funnels, writing the emails, creating engaging posts and images for social media and posting them. When you are done, if you made it to the end, you launch: 40 days to raise everything, or to have worked for nothing.

With us: the platform prepares all of this, you approve. The campaign lasts up to 365 days, you keep everything you raise, and you keep it right away.

A right for everyone

“Crowdfunding is where economics meets communication.” Alessandro Brunello

Crowdfunding is a tool of freedom in people's hands: anyone can use it, individuals, associations, companies; it suits every sector and every kind of idea. It has allowed millions of people to reach their goals.

The real value of a campaign cannot be measured only by the sum raised: the strength of crowdfunding also lies in social validation, pre-sales, market research and community building, when done wisely. In most cases, reaching the same results or the same number of people through traditional means would require a significant amount of money.

Where it comes from

“I have been working on crowdfunding since before the word itself was defined, when the first project creators, myself included, ran their own websites and platforms did not exist yet. Not everyone knows that crowdfunding was born in Milan in 2004, when four people in their late twenties, with a completely different purpose in mind, wrote in PHP the first framework that allowed funding pledges between users. A lot has changed since then.” Alessandro Brunello

Alessandro Brunello, founder

Alessandro Brunello has been doing crowdfunding since before platforms existed. In 2011 he wrote Crowdfunding, condividere per realizzare (Bevivino), the first Italian book on the subject; in 2012 Crowdfunding: nuove comunità economiche (Bookrepublic), presented at the Turin Book Fair; in 2013 Il Manuale del Crowdfunding (LSWR), presented at Bocconi University and adopted as a textbook.

He has taught crowdfunding, storytelling and communication at IED Milan, Civica Scuola Paolo Grassi, Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and Scuola Holden in Turin, and teaches at the Master in Economics of Culture of Sole 24 Ore Business School. He created and organised Crowdfunding Day, the first hands-on Italian event on crowdfunding.

In 2017 he ran, in Austria, the launch and fundraising of Cam.TV: €6,300,000, the largest reward campaign in Europe. He has worked with hundreds of project creators and dozens of startups, from individuals and associations to multinationals.

Campagna Crowdfunding comes from that experience: putting into a platform the work he used to do by hand, one client at a time.
